Personal Hygiene for Young Women

Health Oral Hygiene, A group of young women were encouraged to take a good look at their overall Oral Hygiene and how important it is to have healthy gums and white teeth. How to have pearly white was emphasized, abstaining from smoking, coffee, tea, and soda so that the teeth don't get stained. Teaching the youth how to brush properly, floss between each and every meal and by doing this frequently it can help the overall health of their teeth and gums. Without these steps the health of their mouths can lead to other dieses if not treated properly. The youth were given small oral hygiene kits, which included toothbrushes, toothpaste, mouthwash and dental floss.

Facial Care of the Skin: (group of 15 young women)

The youth were given a skin care kit: cleanser, astringent, moisturizer and cotton balls: To maintain a healthy look, and to feel good about themselves. Youth were taught how to properly cleanse the face, how to apply a facial masque, and how to be able to identify the proper cleansing agents for their personal skin type, and by eating healthy.

Steps to cleanse the face properly:

  1. Wet the face with warm water.
  2. Apply cleansing agent to face with four dots on the forehead, chin, right cheek, and left cheek or apply with a white face cloth using a circular motion, always be careful around your eyes.
  3. Rinse face by cupping hands and applying warm water to face until all cleanser is removed.
  4. Towel-blot to dry. Apply astringent/toner to face with cotton ball all over, and let air dry.
  5. Now apply a moisturizer to face.

Body Hygiene: Showering, how to wash properly (group of 15 young women).

The youth were given a body kit, loofa, body wash, deodorant and powder. Showering is done each day. It is to cleanse the body of all bacteria, dirt and oils your body has collected throughout the day. The girls were shown the best ways to bath themselves, and how to prevent body odor.
